Abstract
A comprehensive afterword to the Czech translation of the novel Dois irmaos by Brazilian writer Milton Hatoum is the first study of this author in Czech language. It is an introduction to the work of this famous novelist, studied in the context of Brazilian literature and the literature of Amazonia region.
