Abstract

Jakub Deml corresponded with a number of visual artists. Many of them illustrated his books, especially František Bílek.

These letters even studies and critics which he wrote about them illustrate Deml's style of writting was close to visual art. The origin of visuality of Deml's style was not only visual art of his friends but also Otokar Březina's poetry and Holy Bible, especially Apocalypse.
