Abstract

The study focuses on the analysis of the semantics of collections of poetry Jan Zahradníček thirsty summer (1935) and Saluting the Sun (1937). It is concerned with the use of the symbolism of traditional religious themes common in the Roman Catholic Church and their use of art in modern poetry.
