Publication |
2010

Abstract

The book examines the Jewish community in Slovakia in the period of the opening of the ghetto (Tolerance Patent of Joseph II.) to the present. The author notes the legislative process, but also relations within the Jewish community (religious divisions, process assimilation).

In addition to the historical framework also adds chapters devoted to the development of the family, the Holocaust, the relationship between Jews and the majority, but also the humor and the phenomenon of Jewish identity.
