Pragmatic linguistics in teaching Czech as a foreign language

Abstract

The article deals with main topics of pragmatic linguistics in teaching Czech as a foreign language. The most important topics are politeness and cultural characteristic of Czech speakers.

Characteristic is based on Brown and Levinson's theory of face and Hofstede's cultural dimensions.
