Abstract
SEMT '11 was the tenth bi-annual conference on Elementary Mathematics Teaching. Its programme focused on the teaching of mathematics to children within the age-range 5-12 years.
The theme of SEMT '11 was 'The mathematical knowledge needed for teaching in elementary schools'.
