Author summarizes the latest results concerning the occurrence of food allergy in children and adults suffering from this disease, she evaluates the influence of foods on the course of atopic eczema and she describes the possible manifestations of food allegy in this group of patients. Author describes the diagnostic work - up in examination of food allegy and suggests the diet: elimination diet or in severe cases of atopic eczema the diagnostic hypoallegenic diet.
