The Fantastic in "The Strangers from Kipukua" by Valeriu Anania

Abstract

The present study focuses on the many ways Valeriu Anania's late novel could or could not be regarded as fantastic fiction. The theoretical background is mostly concerned with Tvetan Todorov's fundamental work, Introduction in the fantastic literature.

Some of the main aspects of the present study are the mystery, the illusion, the imagery, the miraculous, and the dream reverie.
