Abstract

Many studies demonstrate that pupils at upper primary schools spend low amount of time in movement activities. At the same time we often encounter children's disinterest in the lessons of physical education.

It follows that the current young population does not have one of the basic components of healthy lifestyle. Assessment of pupils in physical education can be one of the major factors affecting this situation.

The question is what factors are involved in the overall evaluation of pupils in the lessons of physical education at upper primary schools? The work is figuring out what links exist between overall assessment in the lessons of physical education, relationship of pupils to the subject, performance and somatometric indicators. Another objective is to determine what factors influence pupils' relationship to the subject of physical education.
