Scholarly communication and information sharing in scientific social networks

Abstract

Most of scientific and research activities take place mainly in research teams, often on international basis. That puts high requirements on communication, information sharing among research teams and research communities, and on finding new research partners.

The article deals with scientific social networks, in particular with databases of scholar profiles.
