The Cult of Divine Statues and the Ethical Norms of Human Communication in the Ancient Semitic Civilisations

Abstract

The paper analyzes the cult of divine images in ancient Semitic religions. Especially the question of finding some correlates of forms of idol's worship in a sphere of social ethics is treated.
