Disordered collections of finds from burial-ground and settlement-site from Nebovidy, distr. Kolín. A preliminary report

Abstract

The contribution brings the first scientific analysis of collection of finds dated to Roman Period and Great Migration Period from burial-groudn and settlement-site in the cadastre of Nebovidy (district Kolín), which is deposited in Region Museum Kolín. Results show an unique continuity of occupancy of the cadastre from the very beginning of Roman Period until Great Migration Period.

Numerous collection from the Early Roman Period points out on the existence of small cremation burial-ground established ahead of the break of an era. Testimony od romano-provincial import indicates connection on remote trading routes with southern world, probably an Alpine area.

The settlement of Late Roman Period until the Early Migration period was proved, identified especially on account of ceramic vessels. The article is just a publication od preliminary results of long-term project.
