International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) publishes traditional model contracts for work on construction work. These documents are currently the world's most widely used designs in construction with the support of major investors, including the European Union, the European Investment Bank, International Development Bank, and many others.
The monograph is the first comprehensive look at this issue in the context of Central Europe, especially in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, where the documents of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers used in areas such as procurement of transport infrastructure. The author's own practical approach, however, does not ignore the detailed legal analysis of the problem of translation institutes and uncertainties.
The book explains the differences between the designs with an emphasis on risk allocation, cost of the work, the deadline for completion, and additional claims of the Parties (called out claims). Is not forgotten role of these terms and conditions in terms of private international law.
The publication also includes a courtesy FIDIC as an attachment complete text of the three most common patterns (red, yellow and silver book), sample documents for claim management and four-language dictionary of the most commonly used words and phrases.
