Abstract
The essay approaches the novel Do posledního dechu by Benjamin Klička to offer an interpretation of the author's world view as it appears while reading the novel. He claims a necessary distinction between the psycho-physiological being of the empirical author and between the implied author as the author's image constructed via the text.
He claims that the author's world view (the model of the world he/she trusts) is to be found in the following textual elements: motives and topics; characteristics of protagonists; space and time of the novel and its individual perspective of its rendering; composition; choice of linguistics means; ways of depiction.
