Abstract

This article reflects upon the pre-conference event of the Learner Autonomy Special Interest group of IATEFL. The case studies and action research presented on that day showed how the borders (cultural, interdisciplinary or methodological) can be crossed thanks to the practitioners fostering self-directed learning.
