In his article the author gives a brief outline of the history of the administrative court system and judicial supervision of the public administration in the Czech and Polish lands until now. He traces its development from the Polish Noble Republic, through the 19th century, to the form of administrative courts at er the World War I.
He subsequently pays attention to the removal of the administrative courts at er the Communist takeover, the attempts for its renovation until its real rennaissance in the 1980s and 1990s. The last part focuses on the most recent reforms of the administrative court system.
