Abstrakt
Living arts (independent, non-institutionalized or grey-zone fields of contemporary visual, plastic, theatre and music art) were, in the Czechoslovak context, the key source of breaking events and impulses in the political field (Charta 77 as the follow-up of standing up of various opposition groups on behalf of the music group The Plastic People of the Universe, nation-wide strike of theatres and other artists resulting in the general strike in November 1989). How this key position of the cultural field in view of politics has changed after 1989? What is current freedom potential of contemporary living arts? In the presentation various dynamic in these fields of living arts throughout the 90's and the first decade of the new millennium is to be described and present discontent and recent activation of art milieu highlighted (art protest movement 'Za Prahu kulturní' in 2008 and initiative 'Za Česko kulturní' since 2009).
