Case Study: Doupovské Mountains - Biodiversity vs. large-scale succession

Publication at Faculty of Science |
2012

Abstract

Abandoned landscape of Doupovské hory Mts. hosts surprisingly high diversity of plants. It led to survival species typical for extensive farming, especially in a mosaic of shrubs and small grassland enclaves, which are the most valuable from biodiversity perspective.

This fact alone makes the shrubby landscape a unique phenomenon.
