Abstract

Groups of bouy and girls from 4 to 7 years of age were followed: height, weight, body mass index, length, breadth and circumferential measures on the trunk and extremities, ten skinfold thickness, cardiorespiratory fitness (modified step test), motor and sensomotor paremeters were assessed. The level of cardiorespiratory capacity and motor performance which intercorelated significantly increased during growth, and were on a significantly higher level in boys as compared to girls.

Repeated measurment after more then 30 years showed in the prevailing majority of cases significantly higher values of hight and weight, the slight insignificant fluctuations of BMI, and significantly lower level of motor performance.
