The Atlas of Geometry

Publication at Faculty of Mathematics and Physics |
2012

Abstract

In the book, you can find a list of geometrical terms, but also a lot of illustrations and photographies, which make the book very interesting also for the people without a special interest in mathematics and geometry. Book includes classical as well as the less known geometrical tasks, which are both shown with their link to the history, focusing especially on the connection of geometry and its use in technology, arts or graphics.

The book can be well used as a source of inspiration for the teachers and students at basic or high schools, because it shows them the very special and extraordinary parts of studying geometry. Especially high school students can find the book very useful and exciting thanks to the geometry, which is shown in many ways and sometimes also in surprising contexts.
