Abstrakt
The paper focuses on problems understanding geometrical concepts of area and perimeter, which are very common in Czech schools, and tries to pinpoint the sources of these problems. The findings from the below described experiment indicate the effects of scheme-oriented teaching on understanding the aforementioned concepts.
