The picture of persistent pneumothorax of unclear etiology - a case report

Abstract

In our paper we describe a case of a 70 years old patient who was examined and treated for an accidentally diagnosed pneumothorax. The treatment including drain-age with active sucking was almost ineffective, therefore thoracoscopy was performed during which a large bulla was diagnosed and treated.

The discussion is focused on the etiology and therapeutical options in pulmonary bullous disease.
