The paper deals with the analysis of method application concerning the determination of text difficulty. The method Nestlerová-Průcha-Pluskal (Průcha, 1998) focuses on the thematic unit of carbohydrates and their metabolism in selected textbooks intended for grammar schools and the comparison of results with already discovered outcomes regarding textbooks (Klečka, 2011).
The paper also inquires into the determination of semantic coherence and semantic distance of these texts.
