Temporality and Authenticity in "Sein und Zeit": Some Problems of Heidegger's Concept of Time and Their Parallels in Augustine

Abstract

Three aspects of time in Heidegger, i.e. the authentic and unauthentic temporality of "Dasein" and the "world time", find parallels in Augustine concept of time. Both authors, however, moralize the authentic and unauthentic temporality, and underestimate the role of "Mitsein" for temporality.
