Study material comprises in its first part the development outline of the international bibliographic database LISA (Library and Information Science Abstracts) which is produced by the American society ProQuest in the present. The second part comments individual components of search system FAST in details (search modes, query language, searchable fields, indexes, records visualization and services).
The text contains many examples of queries. Various search modes are described in details including search by using LISA Thesaurus.
