Abstract
The article describes influence of new political contexts in higher education on academic profession roles. New conditions, such as structuring studies, new forms of studies, changing of students'nature or changing functions of universities, which bring diversity of academic teachers'roles and require a change of their performance and also specific pedagogical competency.
