The book makes a reader (a physics teacher) familiar with features and behaviour of semiconductor components in a practical way. In the beginning it presents an overview of types of semiconductor elements and their basic parameters.
In the next chapter practical recommendations how to work with these components can be found as well as instructions how to make simple circuits with them. Then concrete simple experiments and measurements are described with LEDs, rectifying and Zener diodes and other components up to bipolar transistors.
At the end simple experiments illustrate the behaviour of field effect transistors, fototransistors and Hall sensor. Supplementary materials are at an accompanying CD.
