The article brings closer the conception of executive functions and theis roles in cognitive development, in language development, and in the development of literacy. The aim is to present the possibilities of diagnostics of these functions by Orientation test of dynamic praxia by J.
Míka and to highlight the pros and cons of this method. The autors proposed a revised scoring system, which differentiates the quality of the motor performances in a more refined manner.
They developed the up-to-date standards for children of preschool age, too.
