Among distant past, utopian future and volatile present: archaeological herritage and time in Prague metro

Abstract

The chapter analyses the underground landscape of the Prague metro in a prism of its intersecting reality of ideological space, carried by modernistic ethos and socialist visuality, and archaeological heritage which the tunnels of the underground cut through.
