Abstract

The paper is focused on reading with understanding of children with cochlear implant. Standardised Non-verbal Kaufman subtest reading/understanding for children 7-12,5 years in mainstream schools and schools for the hearing impaired was used to gain research data.

The results of this subtest show that pupils with cochlear implants show some delay compared to their peers without hearing impairment.
