Abstract

Growing needs for good metabolic compensation of diabetes requires better possibilities for monitoring of basic biochemici parameters, inclusive glycaemia and glycated hemoglobin. Because of the frequency of patients visits in the physician's office is once in 2-3 months, the data evaluated by diabetologist are relatively old. Their context is often interpreted by the patient and also by the diabetologist. In the last years were developed the systems allowing the transfer of the recent data from glucometer directly to the diabetologist. This possibility allows the near real time evaluation of glycaemia. One of these systems uses the Bluetooth technology, which can transfer with the help of mobile phone to place the glycaemia level in the virtual space. The approach to these data could have the diabetologist, the diabetes nurse and eventually also the relatives of the patient. We have chosen the groups of patients, which can benefit from this system:

1. Young woman patients who plans the conception in the immediate preconception period.

2. Patients in the immediate period before planed surgery.

3. Patients who are transfered from the intensified insulin therapy to the insulin pump therapy

4. Extreme fragile and brittle diabetic patients.

5. As a payed service offered to the patient
