The Hussite Synods. The Precursors of the Synodality of the Reformation Period

Abstract

The study compares transformations of different forms of Czech synodality in 15th century with analogous search of new principles regulating assemblies of clergymen in the beginning of the Reformation period. The second comparison concerns the disputation - a specific type of assemblies of clergymen.

The third part regards the role of laymen and the relation between synods and secular diets.
