INNOVATIONS IN TEACHING PRIMARY SCHOOL MATHEMATICS AND IN COURSES FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENT-TEACHERS

Publication at Faculty of Education |
2012

Abstract

In the paper the action research and two partial experiments with second grade pupils are described. There are two goals of the experiments.

The first global one is the development of tools for improving the quality of teaching, the second local one is to map the pupil's learning process when working in geometrical learning environment Cube buildings and to study how individual pupils create their generic model (Hejný, 2011). The tools of experiments are problems from this environment, thus problems from the field of 2D representation of 3D objects.

In the conclusion our experience with these problems in the courses for primary school student-teachers is mentioned.
