Altogether 35 species of the scarabaeoid families Bolboceratidae, Geotrupidae, Lucanidae, Scarabaeidae and Trogidae were recorded in Těptín village (central Bohemia, Czech Republic) and its close vicinity during faunistic research between 1972 and 2006. From the faunistic point of view the evidence of the following species is valuable: Lucanus cervus cervus (Linnaeus, 1758) (Lucanidae), Trox cadaverinus cadaverinus Illiger, 1802 (Trogidae), Odonteus armiger (Scopoli, 1772) (Bolboceratidae), Onthophagus (Palaeonthophagus) similis (Scriba, 1792), Aphodius (Agoliinus) nemoralis Erichson, 1848 and A.
