Two views on the Development of the Czech Post-War Syntactic Research

Abstract

The metodological approaches used in Czech syntactic research since the 40-ies of the last century are analyzed. The Daneš´s Two-Level Valency Syntax and Sgall´s Functional Generative Description are evaluated as most comprehensive models in the Czech syntax.
