ČSSD : an organizational perspective

Abstract

The chapter explores an organizational transformation of ČSSD in 2000-2010 in areas corresponding to theses of cartel party theory (professionalization and externalization of election campaigns; party financing; change of decision-making mechanism; the relationship of the members and leaders). The main emphasis is put on the role of ideas of political marketing and management in this transformation and on the centralization of decision-making processes.
