Abstract
Text is devoted to general comparation of the phenomenon of the Czech underground with musical subcultures of the Western Europe in the 1970s in broader theoretical and terminological connections; analyzed are both their formal similarities as well as differences caused firstly by the different political situation and access to popcultural phenonema on both sides of the so-called Iron Curtain.
