This lecture presented to provide a legal interpretation of the quantification of harm for the purposes of criminal and civil proceedings, the position of the victim in the prosecution of offenses in violation of copyright, rights related to copyright and database rights, positions on issues of copyright collective management as injured parties in the criminal management, the subsidiarity principle of criminal repression and ultima ratio, social harmfulness.
