Abstract

The papers informs about the visit by the Czech writer Markéta Hejkalová, a member of the International PEN club, in the Republic in Korea in February 2012. It also covers an event connected with presenting a book gift to the library of the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) by the Czech Ambassador Jaroslav Olša, jr. in spring 2012.

His special collection holds about three hundered books, written mostly in Czech and about one forth dealing with the Czech Republic and published both in English and Korean. It also contains a representative and unique collection of Czech sci-fi literature similar of which is availble out of Central Europe only in specialised libraries in Liverpool and Toronto where a similar gift was completed and presented ten years ago.
