Avar Settlements in Central Europe: the Balance of the Problem

Abstrakt

The study provides a brief summary and comparison of the knowledge on settlements existing during the time of the so-called Avar Khaganate, with the focus being the territory of Slovakia and the eighth century, but to a great extent including also the research of settlements in Hungary and in the areas of the extended khaganate.
