The main aim of this study was to compare group cohesion in succesful youth girls and boys handball teams. A further aim was to examine the relationships between perceived team success and group cohesiveness.

The research sample consisted of four handball teams (n = 60, vek = 15,4+-0,9 years). The Youth Sport Environment Questionnaire (YSEQ; Eys, Loughead, Bray & Carron, 2009) was used to assess the group cohesion, amplified with additional variables.

Statistical analysis indicated that levels of social and total cohesion in boys teams were significantly (p 0,05).
