Abstract

The aim of this experiment was to demonstrate, on a non-homogenous group of ten triathletes, changes in plantar pressure distribution that may arise in triathletes during running part of the racing performance as a consequence of global, as well as local muscle fatigue and altered neuromuscular coordination after previous cycling.Plantar pressure distribution during the stance phase of running before and after the cycling part of a competition simulatedloading was analyzed by means of pressure detection in 7 segments of the foot (medial heel, lateral heel, midfoot, medial forefoot, lateral forefoot, big toe and toes 2, 3, 4, 5) using tensometric system Novel Pedar-X
