Abstract

Factors determining anticipated nature of the changes and responses of the thermo-visco-elastic tissue (menisci of the knee joint) are detected depending on the time of constant short and long term mechanical load during locomotive activities burdening musculoskeletal system with interaction forces occurring in different directions. Object of the study willbe monitoring the dynamics of distribution of the pressure, interaction forces, time of loading and subsequent biomechanical characteristics of the monitored systems -shape, functional and rheological.

For detailed identification and assessment of the behaviour of these systems will be used non-invasive imaging -MRI. According to the acquired slices, there will be used T1 rho and T2 mapping for displaying changes inside meniscus.

Subsequently, using the software, are assembled interactive 3D or computational models. Resulting models will allow to simulate the response of the structures to changing stress regimes
