Abstract
The 51st Otologic day, held on 1st December 2011 in the Education Center of the University Hospital Hradec Králové, was dedicated to the jubilee of prof. Lubomír Faltýnek, the ex-chief of ORL Dept.
Hradec Králové. The topic lecture was referred by prof.Michaels: New Concepts in Otosclerosis Pathology.
Following panel discussion was dedicated to the topic "objective methods of hearing examination and neonatal hearing screening". The main news is a legalized neonatal screening in the Czech republic, valid from 1.1.2012.
