Abstract

In the present empirical study, 187 university students (males = 85, females = 102) completed the Eysenck Personality scales and were then given a list containing various emotions for evaluation. Neuroticism was negatively correlated with valence and people who scored high for neuroticism assessed emotions as more negative than did people with low neuroticism.
