Abstract
The article introduces new school radiation source DZZ GAMA 300 kBq for performing effective and conclusive demonstration experiments in physics education. The article also discusses the question of detection of gamma radiation using a detector with a Geiger-Mueller tube from the school kit Gamabeta and also analyses the influence of the background on the interpretation of the results of school measurements.
