Abstract
Article is concerned about six hundred pages work "Philosophy of money" by Georg Simmel - particulary about its conceptual value for philosophy, social psychology, historical sociology, economic antropology a philosophy of culture. The institution of monetary exchange is there analysed (1) as a means of emancipation, based on divergence between personality and forms of mortifying the debt (emancipation of debtors from formaly specified working duty); (2) as a perfect expression of special tendence of modern mind to quantificating all qualities (reducing all qualitative destinations or determinations on quantitatives).
Especialy this theme is relevant for eachone who is interested in "economic" aspects of producing social and cultural values.
