The Visit of Charles IV in Avignon. The Organization of the ruler visit in the 14th century

Abstract

The author deals with the visit of Emperor Charles IV by the Pope Urban V in Avignon during Mai and June 1365, and with its preparation by the papal clercs. According to the accounts of the Pope Chamber, she describes the sequence of the visit and mainly the equipment of the flat in Ponte-de-Sorgue and both flats for the Emperor in Avignon.
