Ways of Assessment of Vocabulary of Children prior to Beginning of Compulsory Education

Abstract

The chapter deals with the isme of vocabulary. It presents various diagnostic materials, which are used for assessment of vocabulary.

It is focused on the receptive and expressive vocabulary test called CREVT - 2. This test should be modified for Czech conditions, and applied to a sample of pre-school children before beginning of compulsory education.
