Abstract
Theater performance based on the maqam - clear-cut prose genre of classical Arabic literature. Maqama, ushered in the rise of modern Arab narrative of creation, not embedded in a single composition or sujet framework, but are characterized by a common protagonist - narrator typical of each author in this genre.
